I like to start the week with a theme. Any one will do. Today, maybe because I've been longing for warmer, drier days, my theme was wearing something that brought me a Spring feel, however, on the other hand, I felt like I couldn't compromise the result by being too casual, so I decided to go for a 'half' suit and to get that result you must not forget cut so if you are like me and have larger hips, a good way to do that is wearing separates. There's no better way to accomodate curves than the pantallones or pallazzo like the italians say. They literally follow your hip lines beautifully without adding any unnecessary bulk, and the bonus part, they elongate your legs! When you pair them with a structured jacket they are perfectly balanced. Here's how to achieve maximum style out of your separates:
Wearing; Alice & Olivia pallazzo pants | Kenzo jacket (past season) Witchery tee | 66th the Label scarf
#1: Pallazzo pants need a structured jacket for a perfect balance.
#2: Wear a lighter top and dark bottom for good use of contrast. That will make your legs go for days.....
#3: Do not shy away from primary colours, however, use one of them on a central piece and the other on a strategic spots like a scarf as an interesting focal point. I am deeply in love with the jewelry tone of this scarf
Hope this has gotten you inspired. Let me know x
