Color Blocking In Jewel Tones

If you read my previous post; Beyond the Science of color, you might know that my mood today is peace. I love these two colors together. For me, they ooze sophistication, particularly in noble fabrics like in this silk blouse. It is an ultra feminine look and great for the festivities coming up, however for more balance I counterbalance it with black socks and chunky shoes. The low contrast between the two colors create a not-so-dramatic color block, in case you are trying it for the first time. The difference in textures add interest to the outfit and give that fluidity that I am always looking for.
I'm wearing: Zara victorian silk top |  Reiss full skirt |  Diane Von Furstenberg sandals | Mimco cloth
Jewel tones are very festive, so this is my inspiration for the festivity season fast approaching
Textures, movement and soft color blocking create a harmonious look
Chunk shoes worn with socks are the killer touch and a modern edge

Golden touches and a bit of sparkle in the form of a clutch are the ultimate polished finish
Final detailing; messy hair and nude make up for that seemingly effortless thang and...
... I'm all ready to go... See you next time
